Environmental Living and Environmental Studies Programs
Environmental Living Programs (ELPs) and Environmental Studies Programs (ESPs) are school group programs that give children opportunities to explore the interaction between people and their environment. Immersed for a brief time in the past, students learn from their own experiences about earlier cultures and lifestyles. ELPs are overnight programs, and ESPs do not include an overnight stay. Both are coordinated with concepts taught in the classroom. Programs incorporate pre-visit preparation, in-park demonstrations and hands-on activities, and follow-up student assignments.
